About this listen

DEATH IS MISSING: PRESUMED...ER...GONE....which leads to the kind of chaos you always get when an important public service is withdrawn. Meanwhile, on a little farm far, far away, a tall dark stranger is turning out to be really good with a scythe. There's a harvest to be gathered in.© Terry and Lyn Pratchett; (P) Corgi Audio Fantasy Fiction Science Fiction Paranormal

Very sad it was over. Going to buy more Terry Pratchett ready by Tony Robinson, what a wonderful story fully of comedy, warmth and depth. Blown away.

Excellent piece of art

What do you do when Death disappears? Where does Death go when he's not needed anymore? This is a brilliant story but it's let down by Tony Robinson's narration. He always makes death whisper, when every pratchett fan knows that DEATH SPEAKS IN CAPITAL LETTERS! It spoiled it for me somewhat.

A great tale about the lack of death

This is the latest in the books I've " read" by Pratchett. After a slow start it gained my attention and yet again I enjoyed the narration of one of his books. On to the next!

Really great story so I was sad when it ended. It is abridged but Tony Robinson’s voices are excellent. Highly recommend

Loved the story, loved Tony’s voices

Working my way through them all. This was very employable. It doesn’t miss a beat…

I loved how connected everything was in this story! narration was brilliant too and each character felt... alive. is that irony?

Loved the narration. Perfect accompaniment to a relaxing holiday. An old favourite made new.

Still fabulous after years of re-reading.

Don’t buy it - so abridged the story is mutilated - waste of a credit and a dishonour to the author

Hideous abridgement

sad to hear the early twists of the disc world's details and reaality parallels turn into background annecdotes for slapstick and fantasy genre clichees.

Predictable and clichee
