I have been listened to Volume 1 on my ipod and am already finding myself coming out with the phrases.
Its really going well!
The voices and music are very pleasant which helps to take your mind off trying too hard and the lady's accent and voice is pleasant. The rhythmic repetitions really help my to memorize the words and phrases.

I love the idea of using music to aid learning, and if it actually worked it'd be possible to laugh through or ignore the cheesiness. For me at least, it didn't. They have the Russian first then the English, so my brain filters out what the Russian lass says, because when I hear it I have no idea what she's saying, then the sleazy Surrey man tapes over any lingering traces of memory for it that I might have. To be fair, the music rhythm thing kind of works - I have a really clear memory of Mr Woking saying "I would like..." "I would like..." in a clear south-east accent.
If you're Russian, you want to learn English and you have a good sense of humour, you'll enjoy this and will probably learn a bit from it. I'm not convinced it works the other way around.
So bad it's hillarious
