About this listen

"All behavior makes sense"

"It most certainly does not!", is probably your first reaction.

Parenting and neuroscience expert Robyn Gobbel is here to reveal how all behavior, no matter how baffling, can be explained and remedied. You just need to look past the behavior and understand what's going on inside.

Robyn decodes the latest brain science into easy-to-understand principles and metaphors to help you become an expert in your child's behavior. She reveals simple ways to help you regulate and connect with your child, with brain-, body- and sensory-based strategies to overcome day-to-day challenges. She also provides you with the knowledge to understand and regulate your own brain so that you don't flip your lid when your child flips theirs.

Let this be your lifeline for parenting or caring for any child with baffling behaviors and hidden challenges, including kids who have experienced adversity, or with additional needs.

I have listened to a lot of parenting books but this is the one i have gone back to. It uses simpler terms which makes it easier to take in. I felt very connected to the author as you do end up imagining being there with her. It has been very useful for all my kids, but also in understanding other people everywhere, including myself, as we all have times of baffling behaviour.

Best by far

a fabulous book to help parents and foster parents to understand not only the child's brian but the adults brain in reacting to big emotions and how that affects us as adults 😀

The audio book has been so worth the wait. My partner and I are listening together to finally get on the same page as we navigate some challenging parenting. Getting on the same page is half the battle for us as well as learning how to support each others nervous systems. Listening, savouring and talking through a little of Robyn’s wisdom each night together gives me hope and strength for the next day. Thank you :)

So helpful. 🫶

I've listened to this book and found it so helpful in not only understanding my little boys behaviour but my responses and that it's most important to remain calm and collected rather than letting my 'watchdog' brain take over.
since using this method my little boy seems alot calmer and more compliant as he's listening a lot more and I'm finding it easier to communicate with him instead of having battles everyday. Don't get me wrong everyday isn't perfect but it's certainly alot easier!
I've recommend this book to my adoptive parenting friends.
Will definitely be listening to again.
