About this listen
In the quaint town of Willowbrook, where smiles are as sweet as the pies in the local café, darkness lurks beneath the surface.
Amelia Brooks thought she knew her neighbors, but when tragedy strikes, she discovers that every friendly face hides a secret, and every kind word might conceal a lie.
As the community she loves begins to crumble, Amelia finds herself at the center of a mystery generations in the making. With unlikely allies by her side, she must uncover the truth hidden in Willowbrook's shadowy past. But in a town where trust is a currency and secrets are the true measure of wealth, asking questions can be deadly. And the answers? They might just change everything.
Will Amelia find the key to Willowbrook's mysteries, or will she become another secret buried in its fertile soil?

Ab Fab!
Loved this story.
The whole thing had an adorable edge. The cat made it for me, it needs a place in the Sherriffs department.
The main character cafe seems to be a local hang out from the start, and I loved how things revolved round eccentric town folk.
Well worth it

Fast paced read
This story move along at a break neck pace. The story is good, but to many chapters end on cliffhangers and there is a lot of repetition. Danielle Karlik's narration was excellent.

Narration excellent, story poor
Firstly Danielle Karlik is an very good narrator, the issue is with Dana Sharp's s story. it desperately needs editing and proofreading. The plot is good but there are scenes referenced that are missing, a cliff-hanger scene that is left unresolved, the same revelation happens 3 or 4 times with the same shocked response each time, too many loose floorboards and secret rooms used as plot devices to reveal clues, inconsistent characters, the phrase this is bigger than Willowbrook is used over and over and there are about five places where to book should have ended and another situation was added. I do not like leaving bad reviews but this became unavoidable. I received a complimentary copy of the audio and am leaving a honest voluntary review.

Uncovering secrets!
Uncovering secrets! The mystery must be solved, the clues uncovered, and the perpetrators stopped. But every time Amelia gets a new clue, the solution seems to reveal a new side of the mystery. The author lets the story continue, slowly unraveling the clues. Some parts are mentioned repeatedly, which emphasizes the revelation of the secrets. This is an easy read for readers who want to escape the hectic pace of everyday life.
The narrator is engrossed in the retelling, the voice can be a bit monotonous in places.
