Niemand trat unverändert wieder aus dem "Blutwald" heraus, den die Ignoranz der Generäle zu einem Menetekel auch folgender Kriege machte. 20 Jahre später, in Vietnam, erfährt John Glueck: Die Politik ist zynisch und verlogen wie eh und je. Er wird handeln, und sein Weg führt direkt zu den Pentagon Papers.
