About this listen
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and its prequel, Dawn of the Dreadfuls, were both New York Times best sellers, with a combined 1.3 million copies in print. Now the PPZ trilogy comes to a thrilling conclusion with Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dreadfully Ever After.
The story opens with our newly married protagonists, Elizabeth and Fitzwilliam Darcy, defending their village from an army of flesh-eating unmentionables. But the honeymoon has barely begun when poor Mr. Darcy is nipped by a rampaging dreadful. Elizabeth knows the proper course of action is to promptly behead her husband (and then burn the corpse, just to be safe). But when she learns of a miracle antidote under development in London, she realizes there may be one last chance to save her true love - and for everyone to live happily ever after.

What made the experience of listening to Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dreadfully Ever After the most enjoyable?
Having first read Pride, Prejudice & Zombies some years ago after it was recommended by my uni lecturer, I thoroughly enjoyed reading the other two novels in the series - this one was by far my favouriteWhat did you like best about this story?
The continued development of the original Austen characters (albeit in this parallel, zombie infested universe) and the way the writer managed to stay in keeping with the feel of an Austen novel while simultaneously turning everything on its head! What aspect of Katherine Kellgren’s performance might you have changed?
Her accents were somewhat hammed up (and her Scottish accent was apalling) - but if you could overcome this & focus on the content rather than the narrator then the book was still enjoyableWas there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Not moved, but I enjoyed the developmen of Kitty Bennet's character and her blossoming relationship with NesuAny additional comments?
If you are an Austen purist, avoid these novels - if however, you enjoy seeing how classics can be adapted and changed, this is a good series to start with. Finally managed to complete the trilogy!

The performance by Kellgren was once again the saving grace in many ways. Listen to this for her intoxicating performance. While the occasional voice felt over blown it did not jar too much due to the comedic nature of the book.
Palpable relief

I enjoyed this more than the second book in the series, but I think maybe the zombie thing is a little dull for me now. Perhaps I'm just not that into zombie stories.
A bit of a slog
