About this listen
Break free of boring verb conjugation programs that robotically teach French in a contrived context and learn speak using High-Intermediate French verbs, just like native French speakers use:
- Complex verb tenses taught naturally like you learned English as a child
- Subjunctive tense passé composé
- Review futur proche in context so you really learn how to use it conversationally
- Plus-que-parfait, imparfait, conditionnel and more used in native context and more!
I have an A level in French from a hundred years ago and I have been listening to French language podcasts in the car for a long time. My mission is to bring my French back to a half decent conversational standard. With the podcasts I keep leaping ahead mentally and wanting to change the tense of sentences. Wishing I could remember with confidence how to say things such as 'should have' or 'used to' etc.
What this little gem does is take a verb and put it through its paces with some examples and with lots of the basics.
Already, this has become my go to listening for ten or twenty minutes a day. I am not using any paper text to supplement.
I recommend.

If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?
The author describes himself as America's most trusted language teacher. However, altho his website promises to respond to queries within 48 hours I sent in two queries weeks ago (an initial query and a follow up) and both were completely ignored.Would you ever listen to anything by Mark Frobose again?
