About this listen

The rains came, flooding the sleepy little town of Sylva. Sheriff Hanson never thought that he would be fighting a battle to survive against real life monsters, but with the waters came hungry, flesh-eating creatures that swept through Sylva's streets like locusts, devouring everyone in their path.

This audiobook was OK. I enjoyed the characters and it is a new take on piranhas, but I didn't like the ending. I did enjoy the narrator!

It was OK!

This is a short story and it narrated well. Sadly, the author tries to put many characters in a limited word count.

The monsters take a while to appear and fall into the typical horror movie trope of attacks. It is alluded that they are something more the author glosses over their origins.

The characters aren’t really developed and makes it difficult to care about the peril they are in.

There are ideas here but need to be worked. Focus on one or two main characters is working on a short story

Slow red herrings

When you pick up a book called Piranha you pretty much know what you’re gonna get but this one has a twist which keeps it interesting and the whole thing doesn’t play out quite like I expected!
Well worth a read/listen as the narrator does a fantastic job.
