Paul Hilton stars as William Palmer, the immortal, reluctant and unthanked hero protecting mankind from an enemy they resist believing in: the Grey Folk.
Thrilling, dark and contemporary, the dramas are set in a recognisable present day but one haunted by the folktales of the British Isles: drowned villages, changeling children, werewolves and unruly nature spirits.

Weird and wonderful
Really compelling drama, not at all in my usual line - but the the stories mix folklore and the modern world in such an extraordinary and convincing way. Main actor Paul Hilton is entirely convincing, and all of the voices are are well chosen for their characterization. I think this has been well directed to get the best out of an excellent cast, and it is a fine example of a script which lends itself far better to audio drama than it woukd to film, as it allows the listener's imagination to populate the space.

Best Radio Series
I remember this when t was one, and it really was un-missable, having all the stories (if you buy them all is just great) is great binge listening.

Short tales about a lost soul
Each chapter is a tale 20 mins or so, I luv em, weird not sophisticated.

Love this series.
Wonderful stories, poetic dialogue. Love the modern fairy fantasy. The central performance especially (Pilgrim) is great.

Wish there was more
Pilgrim manages to put a fresh look on folklore. Taking the paradigm of the wandering Jew and combining it with the best of old English and Irish folklore to create a window into a modern world where magic and the old world are still just as dangerous. I was spellbound.

Wonderful
Really enjoyed this series when it was first on the radio, but because I only got to hear when I was driving I missed most of the episodes. Well acted with some fantastic actors, lesser known & more well known.
Great idea, should be made into a tv series, I think it would do well.
Very good value for money as I used my first credit with Audible to buy this, unfortunately I seem to have somewhat 'motored' through it & now have to wait for next months credit for the second series, which I do with bated breath.
