About this listen
The first two chapters in Anne McCaffrey's “Talents Saga" are featured in this recording:
Pegasus in Flight
In this sequel to Ride the Pegasus, McCaffrey continues the story of the Talents — psionic beings who were once feared and despised, but have become necessary to the comfort and conduct of society.
As director of a parapsychic center, telepath Rhyssa Owen coordinates the job assignments for the psychically gifted Talents in her group. She is always ready to welcome new Talents. When an extraordinary man with no measurable Talents appears, however, Rhyssa realizes that she will need to reassess the potential of all Talentkind.
To Ride Pegasus
Molly, Charity, Barbara, Dorotea, and Amalda are members of an elite cadre of beings who have stepped out of the ordinary human race to enter their own! “Talents” are extraordinary people who read minds, heal bodies, divert disasters, and foretell the future. Despite this, they have become pariahs in their own land.

Wrong way round
I enjoyed both books but chronologically they are in the wrong order which was a bit frustrating. They are abridged so some of the nuances and derail are list compared with the written books but still a good listen and we’ll voiced by the narrator.

Wish they were unabridged
These are great stories, suitable for teenagers as I was when I first read them. The story of how poisoning powers are proven to be true, and then in the second book how those with talents are used, and how a very badly crippled boy learns he not only has talent, but hope he can use it to make himself super powered is an ageless and wonderful story well narrated. Please bring them out in full, along with the unabridged Tower and Hive series??

Great book, shame it's abridged.
Would have really loved both these books to be read unabridged. The stories were fantastic when I first read them and the audiobook didn't let me down.

Excellent books
I love everything written by Anne McCaffrey, especially her Talent series. I only wish that this was unabridged, as this would have made it perfect.

Ruined by abridging
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Yes, and no.
This is two books in one. In reverse sequence.
Audio wise is very acceptable.
But the missing chucks are key parts, and somewhat if rating in their omission,
Would you be willing to try another book from Anne McCaffrey? Why or why not?
I love Anne mccaffrey, I want to see more good audiobooks
What three words best describe Adrienne Barbeau’s voice?
Whilst not a person fan, I can listen to this story more than once, without issue or unhappiness.
Do you think Pegasus in Flight & To Ride Pegasus needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
The third one in this sequence is Pegasus in space. However it should only be touched in an unabridged state,
As there is so much juicy bits to the story, that tie in the with tower and the hive series. Yes. Definitely do an unabridged one. Thanks :)
Any additional comments?
If you can cope with stories misisng key side elements, or parts you think are key, then this will be ace for you.
Personally the bits missed out and the wrong layout of this
See stories, esp when audible don't have chapter alak which chap is the start of which story info fails, does make for an annoying reread

Disappointed
Too fast!!! Galloped thru with no pauses for paragraphs or chapters. I'm really disappointed. Dreadful!

Dreadful rendition of this brilliant author's work
I am sorry to say that I could only listen to half an hour of this audio book. The script was read so very fast with no breaks between sentences paragraphs or chapters rendering it impossible to make any sense of the story whatsoever. Such a disappointment.
