Helped Me Find Clarity in Tough Situations
I’ve had a few relationships that I would define as toxic in my life. Sometimes, it isn’t possible to cut ties with the individual, i.e., family. This audiobook helped me navigate and clarify these relationships. The advice was practical, giving me the tools to rethink how I approach boundaries and self-care. I appreciated how the author broke things down in a relatable way without being too complicated. It made me realize that I don’t have to be a victim in such relationships or change who I am because of them. With the correct tools, I can form and enforce my boundaries for my own preservation, which is absolutely okay!!
The audiobook version made it possible for me to listen and learn, as I do not enjoy sitting still to read. The narrator had a pleasant and easy-to-listen-to voice that kept me engaged throughout. It felt like a friend guiding me through the difficult but necessary process of assessing the relationships in my life. However, I did notice the sound quality wasn't as clear as I would have liked. It could have been the device I was using.
