Would you consider the audio edition of Orange Is the New Black to be better than the print version?
The narrator makes this book enjoyable. Some narrators voices are irritating to me but this one isn't. The narrator also makes the characters come alive.Who was your favorite character and why?
Personally I did not have a favorite character in this book. This is no bad this this just means that actually all the characters had something to offer us listeners.What does Cassandra Campbell bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
she made the voices stand out and you could tell who was speaking. As I have mentioned some narrators voices irritate me but not this one. I would listen to more books with her narrating it. Sometimes I have read a book I have really enjoyed then decide to listen to it in audio form and some narrators can really ruin a good book for me.Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Some parts made me laugh but I didnt come to the point where I would cry. This book was meant to be put out as partly humorous I think. Going to prison is a difficult thing to have to do and although im sure a lot of things were made up some points were true. I feel the author made it more humorous to lighten the book up a bit.Any additional comments?
Good book, really enjoyed listening to it. The story line flowed and I didn't feel I was bored at any point. I listened to this as I am a fan of the show on Netflix and I found this book gave more background detail that the show didn't. I would suggest a listen even if you have not seen this show on Netflix. The book is enlightening as I did not know anything about woman's prisons in America.Enlightening, Funny and got me gripped!
