I absolutely loved this story from beginning to end couldn’t stop listening to it well actually the only time I paused it was while my AirPods where charging the ending was just beautiful and unexpected but also expected at same time if that makes sense well worth a listen really

Great story, sympathetic characters, a real page turner which jogs along at a great pace. And even though I can’t see them, the guys in it are really hot!

This audible gave me the combination of a favourite author with my favourite narrator and it was as fabulous as I hoped it would be! Joel does an amazing job of bringing the characters to life. Loved every single second!!

I stayed up late listening to this story because I wanted to know how it ended. The delayed ending was beautifully crafted.

This is a brilliant book and is elevated by Joel Leslie’s outstanding narration. He clearly conveys CJ’s home life and his feelings of worthlessness etc. Noah, CJ’s parole officer knows what being lonely is like & he offers CJ help, support and friendship which evolves into an unofficial and eventual official relationship. Learning each first CJ experiences is beautiful to watch. He grows so much. Joel’s narration of CJ’s Pops, his kind of grandfather, who suffers with emphysema is spot on, as is CJ’s abusive father. A great, emotional journey that has you rooting for CJ from the beginning. Highly recommended.

This was a lovely book and well read. A bit loved up in places and I’m not sure about the ethical side of how they met. However was a good gay story -it kept me interested until the end

Enjoyed listening to this sweet love story. Joel Leslie’s narration is usually great, but he obviously doesn’t find it easy to pretend to not speak well with a common accent, or to be Italian, which was a bit distracting - but for most of the book he was still good. Worth a credit but won’t change your world or anything - just a nice listen.
