About this listen
The Stormlight Archive saga continues in Oathbringer, the incredible third book in Brandon Sanderson's #1 New York Times bestselling series.
The Alethi armies commanded by Dalinar Kholin won a fleeting victory at a terrible cost: The enemy Parshendi summoned the violent Everstorm, and now its destruction sweeps the world and its passing awakens the once peaceful and subservient parshmen to the true horror of their millennia-long enslavement by humans. While on a desperate flight to warn his family of the threat, Kaladin Stormblessed must come to grips with the fact that their newly kindled anger may be wholly justified.
Nestled in the mountains high above the storms, in the tower city of Urithiru, Shallan Davar investigates the wonders of the ancient stronghold of the Knights Radiant and unearths the dark secrets lurking in its depths. And Dalinar realizes that his holy mission to unite his homeland of Alethkar was too narrow in scope. Unless all the nations of Roshar can put Dalinar's blood-soaked past aside and stand together - and unless Dalinar himself can confront that past - even the restoration of the Knights Radiant will not avert the end of civilization.

Kate Reading, messing up another great series. I don't normally bother reading or writing reviews but she is terrible & it appears everyone seems to agree. She ruined WoT & now this series. I will have to buy the books as well as I skipped so many chapters after a few minutes of her tedious inflection and simpering nonsense. Probably why audible/amazon keeps hiring herAny additional comments?
I can only assume she is under contract. For her soul. With some evil cross roads demon or some such. Another epic book ruined (well, not really) but as mentioned above i have had to infer a lot as I have to skip so much.Arrg! Somebody must stop Kate from reading

Honestly, this is such a good book, this is the best Brandon Sanderson book that I have ever listened too, and I've listened all of them I think. Michael Kramer and Kate Reading are as brilliant as ever in their narration, in fact quite possibly better, although I think rating the narration of experts in their field isn't easy, it's much easier to spot flaws in a narrators ability than to see exactly how an expert improves as time goes by without being an expert yourself, but this seems like some of their best work too.
As a final note, I would say is that this book has more references to other Cosmere regions than any other that I have listened too, if the Stormlight Archive is the first Cosmere series that you are reading/listening too then I would highly recommend making use of the time between listening to this and the next in the series to look into the Mistborn, Warbreaker and perhaps even the Elantris series of novels, but most definitly once doing that, as recommended by Brandon Sanderson himself at the beginning of the book, listen to Arcanum Unbounded: The Cosmere Collection, many of the stories within provide insight on the nature of the cosmere and there are huge spoilers for the other series in it so I'd recommend reading it only after you read all of the others mentioned, although perhaps before the Bands of Mourning, although that is also debatable. (p.s. Yes, I know how long that will take you, perhaps as long as it takes for Brandon Sanderson to write the next in the series, maybe even longer, this was your fault, you've opened the pandora's box of literature here!!)
Enjoy!!
