About this listen
The cure for a willful wife....
Drusilla Clare is full of opinions about why a woman shouldn't marry. But that doesn't stop the rush of desire she feels each time her best friend's brother, notorious rake Gabriel Marlington, crosses her path. So imagine her dismay when she finds herself in the clutches of a scoundrel, only to be rescued by Gabriel himself. And when Gabriel's heartless - and heart-pounding - proposal comes, it's enough to make Dru's formidable resolve crumble...
...is a smitten husband.
She's sharp-tongued, exasperating - and due to one careless moment - about to become his wife. Still, something about Drusilla has Gabriel intrigued. First there's the delicious flush of her skin every time she delivers a barb - and then the surprisingly sensual feel of her in his arms. Gabriel even finds himself challenged by her unusual philosophies. And when he discovers a clandestine rival for Dru's affection, his temperature flares even hotter. But the real threat to their happiness is one neither of the newlyweds sees coming. If they're to save their future - and their very lives - they'll need to trust in each other and their growing love.
Contains mature themes.

I loved Gabriel & boy, was he patient... especially when his wife was extra-shrewish! Couldn't be me :)
Sorry, her name Druzilla was dreadful... every single time it was uttered, I thought of the evil stepsisters....
I only realised once his name called him Gibberel that I'd read his mother's story... I wasn't a fan of that book, but this one wasn't that bad, apart from the heroines attitude....
I was really surprised the author chose to pick the villain from this book to be the hero for the next one!
I was curious yo know if Eva would end up with Byron & was shocked to see it was the villain in this one!
He was vile & his intents were vile, he was simply disrupted from completing his evil intentions....
The author had Byron right there for Eva... why on earth would she select such an evil man (intentions matter as much as execution of evil plans)
It wasn't too bad

I loved Gabriel Marlington who has developed into a gorgeous hero and i could completely understand his frustration with Drusilla.
I got very irritated with Drusilla who appeared to be sensible but acted in an outrageous fashion countless occasions. I also didn't understand why more was not made of her charitable deeds and we were left hanging on various plot lines.
I did, however, enjoy watching their love eventually (and it did drone on far too long) blossom. This author does, however, write the most wonderfully scorching sexy romps, so for those prudes out there, take care.
Although, I didn't particularly like this book, I will persevere as I want to see what happens to the other characters.
The narrator is excellent!
Disappointing
