About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

Is there such a thing as a perfect marriage?

David thought so. But when his wife, Mary Rose, dies suddenly he has to think again. In reliving their 20 years together David sees that the ground beneath them had shifted and he simply hadn't noticed. Or had chosen not to.

Figuring out who Mary Rose really was and the secrets that she kept - some of these hidden in plain sight - makes David wonder if he really knew her. Did he even know himself?

Nothing but Blue Sky is a precise and tender story of love in marriage - a gripping examination of what binds couples together and of what keeps them apart.

A great listen

A story of painted feathers on a blue sky.
We can all look at people and see there lives as we think they are, but we can never see there hearts, love and loss.

Quite outstanding

Beautifuly crafted. Deserves many more than 5 stars. The narration was sublime. The story line simple but so clever. Sad to have finished it. Buy it now and give yourself a treat.

A beautiful book

I loved this audible book about marriage, bereavement, childlessness and the effects on us of our childhood experiences. Slow moving and funny at times but compelling. Excellent narration.

Tender and Beautiful and Unexpected

Such attention to small details, a compelling plot and an empathic narrator. In my top five audible listens.

Stellar Storytelling

So compelling. Will miss every character. Uniquely relatable. Marie Rose would be happy with the denouement I think. More McMahon please.

Slow going

This book is ok, slow going but not bad. It really threw me that around chapter 18 the readers voice totally changes... felt it hard to concentrate on anything other than this!
