©1960 Nigel Tranter (P)1995 NovelsoundKen Rutherford believes in the Loch Ness Monster, and what's more, he believes he can find it. While on holiday with his parents he sets out to do just that. He needs the help of his friend Fiona MacBride if he's going to have any chance of success, and when she agrees to come along, the hunt for the monster is on. But Ken and Fiona soon discover that they are not the only ones searching the dark waters of Loch Ness, and their rivals will stop at nothing to win the race to find the mysterious Loch Ness Monster.
The first thing you notice about Jan Moffat work is that narrated a story? that is he has a clear, distinctive voice that conveys what he wants to say in an original and arresting way. There are plenty of novelists who can?t do this. They have virtues as writers and style is not among them. This is one hour fifty six minutes story. I enjoyed it very much.
