Very thorough

A thorough depiction of the severe damages narcissists inflict on their victims and the road to recovery that is required. I liked this perspective

I thought this book was really unique in the sense that most books on this topic focus on dealing with the narcissist in your life, where this one focuses on how you heal after the fact. The author discusses the abuse that can occur, and the different issues people are left with after they leave the narcissist, including things like a drop in your credit score, how to help your children recover, how to deal with being a single parent. The advice she gives is very well-rounded and helpful, and I feel like there are so many great ideas that it is easy to gain something from this book. There are also a series of affirmations at the end of the book that I found to be particularly helpful. Whether you are dealing with a narcissist in your life, or have left one and need to pick up the pieces and move on with your life, I think you'll get a lot out of this book.
