يقضي الطفل "نادر فودة" ليلة كاملة مع جثة عمه، ويحفظ تفاصيل العزاء والدفن وبكاء النساء في قلبه وعقله فقد كان فضوليًا لأبعد درجة، ومن هنا بدأ حبه للماورائيات وبحثه عنها قدر الإمكان فدخل كلية الإعلام لكنّه وبدل الاجتهاد في دراسته صار مساعدًا لشيخٍ يفكُّ الأعمال السفلية الخاصّة بالعرسان! برَع نادر فودة في عمله ولكنّه كالعادة سرعان ما أصابه الملل ليقوده فضوله مرةً أخرى إلى "الوقّاد" وهو دجالٌ مشعوذ ذاع صيته في العزبة الغربية فيذهب ليصير مساعدًا له ولكنَّ سوء حظه يجعله يصطدم بإحدى الجنيات التي تقرّر النيل منه... أحداثٌ غريبة وكائناتٌ عجيبة، قصصٌ مرعبة وكوميديا سوداء ستعيشها جميعها مع نادر فودة والذي ستشعر للحظات بأنّه صديقك الشقي الذي يروي لك مغامراته في ليلةٍ صيفية على سطح البيت.
