Prayer is an adventure. It is the one opportunity we all have to address the Creator of the universe and say anything we want. It is the grand exercise of spiritual release, where we can cast our cares on the Audience of One, knowing that He hears and understands.

Our prayers can range from primal screams to melodious exultations of praise. They can be loaded with a laundry list of needs or brimming with gratitude and appreciation for just being alive.

In every case, God desires us to pray.

This book is a compilation of 30 short chapters showcasing the beauty and wonder of this amazing gift called prayer. Each chapter comes from my lived experience as a missionary who served God’s children across four decades on four continents.

For me, life has been a wonder-filled journey, and prayer has been my go-to companion as I have forged my way through the chaos. My hope is that you, the listener, will be encouraged to enter the joy of knowing the God who longs for your company.
