About this listen

Previously part of the Magical Midlife Kickstarter. This is a bonus story that plays into elements in Magical Midlife Battle. It should be listened to AFTER Magical Midlife Alliance. It isn't necessary to the overall series arc, but rather a fun little aside into the lives of the Ivy House Crew.

Edgar does not cheat in flower shows. He might use a magically enhanced serum, but anyone could do that. It's not his fault the other competitors don’t know magic exists!

But when the Ivy House crew goes to the pre-show to support him, it becomes clear that someone should've been watching Edgar much more carefully. What he's done is way worse than overgrown flora.

While Jessie is dealing with that, she gets a shock as she discovers photos of her ex with his girlfriend…turned fiancée. And while the flood of emotions can be ignored, the desire to show off Austin on social media is not.

After putting Mr. Tom in charge of the flower fiasco, she decides to take Austin on his perfect date. Her goal: to have one thing go right in her life. Just one thing!

Omg!!! I laughed and raged (in a great way) all through this book. It’s the elusive story of Edgar’s flower show and Jessie’s ex. It’s just Stella! I’m never disappointed with KFBs books and especially when Nicole Poole is narrating. She brings everything together. They are an absolute perfect pairing. Shes expressive without being slapstick. Just perfection. I get lost every damm time
Thank you

I really enjoy a good Edgar scene, he really is an excellent character, but I enjoyed the ex situation the most. I REALLY want to see how Austin deals with him.

Blue balls with the ex situation!

We need more please. This is an amazing novella and need to be continued. Great background story and addition to one of my favourite series.

Amazing in between

This is a fun short story, with all the charactors from the previous books. With no battle to fight at the end we are able to get to know about Jess and a bit about her life before. The struggles her ex husband had put her through and what she was able to over come. We also get to explore Tristain and how he is going to fit in with the exsisting Ivey house crew. It should have been releast before the battle, but I was able to enjoy it all the same even though you know whats going to happen to Nathanuel in the next book. Nicole Poole does a great job bring this book alive.

Hysterical narration to go with the hilarity of this novella!🤣👏

This story was originally written as part of one of the authors' Kickstarter tiers. Thankfully, after nearly a year, she kindly opened it up for sale to everyone.🎉

Edgar has entered his flowers into a non magical county flower show. The crew, along with Jessie, Austin, and Tristan on his official outing in charge of the crew, all attend. Bedlam ensues once they get past the initial shock of his 'creation', only to realise he's planted some upgraded attack flowers!🙈😂

Jessie's head is spun when she trips over her ex's post of his engagement announcement! She doesn't miss him, she's madly in love with Austin so she doesn't really understand her angry feelings about it. Thankfully, Nessa seems to have her pegged and corners Austin about his failure to sort himself out.🥰 It all ends beautifully once 'Matt the douche' makes her cry, and Austin insists he needs to meet him.♥️ I can't resist rereading 'Magical Midlife Battle' next.💥🫶

I love this series so much. I can't wait for Jesse to take Austin Home and meet her former monster in law. This is only a novella, so not as long as her normal novel. It doesn't need to be read as part of the series. But I enjoyed it. It shows Tristan integration into the team and we'll more craziness from Edgar😊. Nicole is a brilliant reader/performer her contribution adds so much to the story.
