What a delight to hear such a warm, honest, open, interview between Robin Morgan and M. C. Beaton. Perhaps it’s the initials in her pen name but, whilst thoroughly enjoying Agatha (probably just as well since we come from the same work background - mildly concerning how much I agree with her on things to), I’ve always worried that if I heard or saw M.C. anywhere, she could be austere, unfriendly and over studious. Worse even, she would likely lack much humour.

How satisfying to be so wrong. M. C. came over as immensely likeable, normal and intelligent. She joins my list as one of the best interviews I’ve heard on Audible - and elsewhere - (Lynda La Plante, Jeffrey Archer and Louise Penny being others I really enjoyed) and the best interview I’ve heard Robin do on here..... careful Audible, some other broadcaster will snap him up if you’re not careful.

And what good news that Agatha returns to TV this week too (not in this interview, I just read it in the Sunday Times)!

The best interview I’ve heard
