About this listen
Brought to you by Penguin.
Am I a murderer? You tell me . . .
You probably already know my name. Lucy Chase, the woman who doesn’t remember murdering her best friend.
Even though they couldn’t find enough evidence to charge me, I know you all think I did it. That’s OK. I realise being found wandering the streets the next day covered in her blood wasn't a great look.
Believe me, I’m as frustrated as you are. I’d love to know if I’m a murderer – it’s the sort of thing you really should know about yourself, isn’t it?
And now, thanks to true-crime podcast Listen for the Lie, I finally have the chance to find out. But will I be able to live with myself if it turns out it was me?
And if it wasn’t, will digging into the secrets of the night I forgot make me the next target of whoever did?
Perfect for fans of HOW TO KILL YOUR FAMILY by Bella Mackie, NONE OF THIS IS TRUE by Lisa Jewell and MURDER IN THE FAMILY by Cara Hunter.

The Podcast Format is Perfect.
A thrilling whodunnit that combines dark humour, a gripping podcast format, and a tangled web of secrets. Lucy’s journey to uncover the truth about her best friend’s murder is filled with twisty surprises, morally grey characters, and suspense that will keep you hooked until the very end. Perfect for fans of true crime podcasts and binge-worthy thrillers. I really enjoyed listening to this on audiobook —it’s an easy and entertaining listen!

Made me laugh out loud
It took me a little bit to get into the book but as soon as Lucy returns to her hometown i was captivated. I loved Lucy's dry sense of humour, and her relationship with her grandmother, 2 women who didn't care what other's thought of them, brilliant. Had me guessing until the end.

5/5 my first finished audiobook. Brilliant
This book was brilliant. I tried another audiobook before this one and got about two chapters in before I couldn’t bare to listen anymore. I feared all audiobooks would be the same but this was brilliant. I kind of wish I had read the physical book it was that good. Narration was brilliant. Was easy to distinguish who was talking. I honestly thought there was 3 people reading this till at the end it only said two names.
The storyline was brilliant. It had me hooked from the start. Lucy was so likeable in her stand offish, sarcastic, hilarious mannerisms. The whole way through the book I was back and forth between who I thought was the killer. Sooooo good.

Voices are rich, dynamic and very engaging. The voice performances brought the story alive. I throughly enjoyed this Audible book.
