About this listen

One of our own...

DCI Evan Warlow believes that murder is a cardinal sin. Even when the victim is a drug dealing, money-laundering criminal. But when a police officer is shot in the same incident at a tranquil beach near Tenby in South Pembrokeshire… Suddenly it’s personal. What appears, on the surface, to be a falling out between partners in crime soon spirals into an operation involving gang warfare and a great deal of money.

But even Warlow is not prepared for what lurks beneath the surface of this most terrible of crimes. The truth, hidden under a tangled knot of lies, will lead him to a terrifying conclusion, and that most dangerous of beings; a killer with nothing left to lose.

Another fast-paced, gripping police procedural that will keep you guessing until the very last word.

Such a great series!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have listened to each book in the series thus far, and loved all of them.
Excellent writing, paired with highly skilled narration, makes each book in the series a thoroughly entertaining listen.
I hope that the remaining books in the series will soon be turned into audiobooks, as right now, I only have one more to go, and I really do not want to stop listening!

Series is getting better with every book

The DI Warlow books are getting better and better the longer the series goes on. Great characters that make it entertaining to follow their lives away from the detective story.
A special mention to the narrator Tobias Weatherburn who is doing a fantastic job.

Good listen..

I really like these books. The characters are all great and good story lines.
The narration needs some tweaking though as mispronounciation is spoiling my enjoyment. Not even difficult words. Does nobody check the narration? It isn't like the books are cheap.
Must do better.

Another brilliant book in this excellent series.

As usual, we follow DCI Earlier and the team through a conveluted story, with lots of twists and turns told with feeling and just the right amount of humour. Looking forward to the next installment.
