I was really looking forward to this book, as the plot sounded great (new to me author and first one with this plot type I've read) and also because Teddy Hamilton, Jason Clarke and J.F.Harding are all narrating in the same book...swoon!!

The story was good, I liked getting to know the characters and their backgrounds, but I did find the female MC quite annoying in parts. Still an awesome listen, and the narration was outstanding!

After many recommendations I gave this one a try. I like the story but it’s way to long. I love smut, dark smut. But this took it to far. Not because it was to much but because it was to often. In one hour I listened to 3 sex scenes. It desensitized me and I got annoyed.
I read it half way then took a paus for 2 weeks and hoped it would be better the second time.
No. I’m juste walking around annoyed at them.

This was glacially slow to start, it didn’t get to a group scene till 10 ish hours in BUT the multiple narrators and with one of them being Teddy, made the enjoyable 2nd half of this book worth the pain of the first half. This book really gets great in the last few hours.

The multiple narrators for this story made it 1000% better. Lilac is one of my favourite BB Reid books and I felt like I picked up on so much more that I might have missed while reading.
