A remote island off the North Devon coast, Liars Island is home to few inhabitants. The rugged coastline has a history of smuggling and shipwreck, but there has never been a murder – until now.

When the body of Kieran Deveney is found on Liars Island, it sends shockwaves through the tiny, close-knit population. The rugged coastline has a history of smuggling and shipwreck, but there has never been a murder – until now.

With the hunt for the killer underway, two locals confess to the crime. Each claims they acted alone, and neither can be convicted while the other stands by their story. Which of them is telling the truth?

CSI Ally Dymond arrives to uncover the evidence that could crack the case. What she finds is a community awash with secrets. As a storm closes in, and with the identity of the murderer still in doubt, no one can leave the island. But it’s not the treacherous weather that Ally fears, it’s the people she’s trapped with…

Liars Island is a standalone thriller and the third book in the CSI Ally Dymond series, perfect for fans of Lucy Foley and Cara Hunter.

Unexpected, surprised, breathless

Despite having read book 1 and 2 I didn’t expect the plot to twist and surprise that much. The scenario was perfect, a rugged island with few inhabitants, a storm to keep everybody stuck and a murder with various suspects and even more motives. The author has her own way to get the reader involved into the story and the island comes alive in peoples own imagination. Still don’t think anybody saw the end coming.
Hooked from the start and another sleepless night later the reading was a perfect and enjoyable roller coaster.
Can’t even imagine what the next book will bring but I’ll definitely spend another night on it.
