Ésope (620 av. J. -C. à 564 av. J. -C.) était un écrivain grec et il est généralement considéré comme étant le père de la fable. Ses contes sont pleins d'humour et d'anti-héros, et racontes des histoires de faibles triomphants sur les forts, de laids sur les beaux, et de pauvres sur les riches.
