the story seems ok but the narrator (i have heard this narrator before and not liked him but i could accept the style for the Paul Finch book) there is no excuse in this case to chop the narrative into darkly portentous sound bites. He could be eating a sour herring coated with tar. However if you employ Mr one note to read a book you get what he offers and he has a long list of books - mainly gung ho adventures or mysogenistic rape fantasies ( not his fault - he didn't write them.}

however - less than an hour into this book i am considering returning it as i do not want to read another nasty dressed up as a crime novel.

i will persevere and hopefully this writer is better than that

Not sure i will be able to finish this
