Critic reviews
"Scott Brick brings a chilling calm to the complex story with his deep, even tone and clear enunciation.... He does a particularly fine portrayal of John Hammond, the creator of the controversial park, giving the character a raspy edge that suits the dark agenda beneath his grandfatherly facade." Excellent Ride
You all know the plot from the film - mad billionaire creates a theme part full of genetically modified dinosaurs. I have to say though, and a lot of this is to do with the narration (Scott Brick is a favourite of mine), the audiobook is much more exciting.
Despite the T-Rex making the front cover, it is the velociraptors that stole the show; from seemingly adorable babies to cunning, predator adults. Kudos to Dr Grant, if I was him, I would have left Lex behind - she was incredibly annoying and kept putting them in danger, wee pain!

“Life will find a way.”
Ever since I was little I've been in love with dinosaurs. To see the Jurassic Park movie for the first time was like a dream come trough. However I did not know that it was based on a book until young adult age. And let me tell you, the book is so much better than the movie :D It's so engaging!

Much more depth
Always been a fan of the film but never got around to the book. Depth of characters and narrative was much more, great to wind it around chaos theory as well. Also as a technologist, the building of the software made me laugh in recognition of some familiar patterns. 🙂

waited to log to read this
Wow I was captivated from the start. I had no idea just how good this book is.
you do not need to be a fan of dinosaurs or books relating to dinosaurs to enjoy this.
there is a bit of everything, fiction, fantasy, mystery and even mild thriller aspects.

When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth
Being an avid fan of the Jurassic Park / Jurassic World films, I couldn't wait to get started on the original Jurassic Park novel. And trust me, I was not disappointed. The story, the narration, everything was brilliant. The core of the story is the same, but there are quite a few changes and honestly I think I prefer the book to the film now. This will certainly be a book I'll listen to again and again.

super fun read.
I was a kid when the film came out and only have positive associations with it but I was surprised how thrilling listening to the audiobook was. A smart science fiction novel and a really fun read.

Wonderfull
what a brilliant book. enjoyed it so much, and I honestly thing that the film does a very good job of this novel.
of course the book is more detailed and allows for much more world building and character moment.
