This is fantastic & a different take on the already brilliant Michael Carroll book on here.

It great to see some the the epic story getting there audiobook, the pit an interesting novel at best though the focus is not primarily on dredd, the voice actor choices for the book are great through dredds voice takes some getting use to if you listen to previous book as mentioned before, this is a softer spoken dredd unlike his former gravelly counterpart but ever the less you warm to it. The sound effects & music are a welcome choice & throwing you right in the action.

Would highly recommend for any dredd fan, my only complaint is that I'd like to see an collection deal of multiple stories on these releases rather than just the 1 2hour epic.

I expected to be disappointed by this. I expected it to be cheap and cheesy. I was wrong. This is better than either of the attempts at a Dredd movie, well written, well acted, well produced and well directed. Very true to the character and the world of Mega City One as you'd expect from this writer. This production is up there with the recent Alien productions of Dirk Maggs and his audio-movie concept. In fact, I think this medium suits the world of Dredd more than any other except its original comic book format.

I was a bit lukewarm about the adaptation of America, and didn't really get Joseph Fiennes as Dredd. The Pit is a big turnaround. This is a taut thriller with hints of the Wire or other procedurals about it. It all hangs together very well. A big shout out to Mark Elstob as Priest (doing a very creditable impression of Paul Giammatti).
