About this listen
Most job interview tips consist of little more than:
- a) memorize some job interview questions
- b) dress up in job interview attire that doesn't make you look homeless and
- c) not sound like a sociopath
And these are all helpful. (Especially the sociopath part.)
But acing your job interview requires more than just wearing a nice pair of shoes and knowing how to answer the "What's your biggest weakness?"
Crushing your job interview means tailoring your interview to the specific company you're conversing with.
Using the information that the job description provides you...
In a super, sneaky, ninja way to kill it at the interview (and get the frickin' job.)
And that's why I wrote Job Interview Tips That Don't Suck...
©2014 Benjamin Paul (P)2014 Michael ClarkeWhere does Job Interview Tips That Don't Suck rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
this book for me is in my top 5What other book might you compare Job Interview Tips That Don't Suck to, and why?
59 seconds: Persuasion for its sense it speaks in creating a rapport with peopleWhat does Gregory Zarcone bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
There is a certain amount of energy in the way that he speaks that makes him sound quite funny when talking about what could be seen as a very dry subject. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I liked the reference to particular resources to use prior t going for an interview and how to use this in conversation. He mentions using LinkedIn, Twitter and Google to gather information before speaking with interviewers and it makes sense that at points you go in armed with information and may even know some things about the company that the interviewer does not.Any additional comments?
I listened to this book a little late in the game (A day before I had the interview) but still managed to utilise the techniques in it and I just got the job offer today. This is a quick book to listen too and gives you plenty of points to work on.
