Daisy Lane’s nightclub is bringing in money, helped by her connections to gangster Roy Kemp, and her children seem to be thriving. But then Daisy’s fortunes take a spectacular fall when Roy decides to run his criminal empire from London. Without him, the punters disappear and so, too, does the cash. Still, Daisy can take comfort in the fact that her son Eddie is growing up to be as courageous as his late father was. But Eddie’s younger brother, Jamie, is a deeply disturbed young man.

Meanwhile, there’s a killer at work in Gosport - a handsome Italian who preys on lonely women. It’s Daisy who spots this nasty Casanova at work. She takes it upon herself to have him apprehended - with devastating consequences.

Not much to say but another excellent addition to the series which gets better and better - another great read by AA who brings all her characters to life. Starting Book 6 later today time permitting.

1 caracther from last book gone and barely mentioned. was as if the writer didnt know wat to do with him in this book as she was concentrating on all the central caracthers daisy and her family. very disapointed in this 1. I wouldnt bother with nxt only its last 1. i want to finish series.

Narrator was brilliant as always but the book lacked a decent story line. I struggled to finish it, but if you want to hear about a cat dying got for it.
