About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

From the number one best-selling author of The Family Upstairs and The Night She Disappeared comes an engrossing, twisty tale of betrayal when an outsider is accused of murder.

You don’t see her, but she sees you.

MIDNIGHT. In the bad part of town, where cats prowl and foxes shriek, a girl is watching...

When Saffyre Maddox was ten, something terrible happened, and she's carried the pain of it ever since. The man who she thought was going to heal her didn't, and now she hides and watches him, learning his secrets, invisible in the shadows.

Owen Pick is invisible too. He's never had a girlfriend; he's never even had a friend.

Nobody sees him. Nobody cares.

But when Saffyre goes missing from opposite his house on Valentine's Day, suddenly the whole world is looking at Owen.

Accusing him. Holding him responsible for Saffyre's disappearance....

INVISIBLE GIRL: an engrossing, twisty story of how we look in the wrong places for bad people while the real predators walk among us in plain sight.

Interesting

I used this book to while away the hours of marathon training, was completely absorbed by it. The narration was good as was the characterisation. Great company on some long runs.

Her best yet.

l couldn't stop listening. I really liked the depiction of how quickly a reputation can be destroyed by misrepresenting of situations.

Brilliant

I loved this book. Good plot and the characters were interesting and believable. The only criticism I had was the narrator for Kate and Rowan’s family. She sounded like an audio-describer and 14-year-old Joshua’s voice sounded like a 5 year old. The others were great, especially Sapphire, it just added to her character and increased my fondness for her. Overall I really enjoyed it and it kept me interested all the way through.

Another great Lisa Jewell novel

I really enjoyed the twisty path of this book. Laying the clues along the path as you read, Lisa builds the story and writes characters you can’t help but like. Not only a good story but a very satisfactory ending too. You won’t be disappointed!

Gripping

Loved it. A gripping ride with interesting characters. and made even better with the perfectly chosen narrators. I have loved all of Lisa’s books but this one was especially unputdownable (is that a word?!).
