Having been a true-crime buff most of my adult life, I have seen my share of dumb criminals.

Then again, what criminal isn't dumb?

Don't get me wrong; I know that all criminals aren't really dumb. Some of them, in fact, have a very high IQ.

Which still begs the question, though; why would someone who possesses, say, an IQ of 145, want to waste it on becoming a career criminal?

As I've said before, just plain dumb.

Whether you have the IQ of a rocket scientist or the IQ of a common housefly, one fact still remains the same: Choosing to be a criminal is dumb.

But...some criminals really are a lot dumber than others....

In all honesty? I don't think you could get any dumber than the criminals listed in the following stories.
