Such an authentic voice. Harlan was unknown to me until he was mentioned in a Neil Gaiman book. I am so glad that I came and found him here. He is an author I now want to hear more and more of. One of the best fantasy story writers i have ever come across. Wonderfully narrated as well. As you may guess I am now totally smitten by Ellisonitus.

I got this audiobook purely to listen to "I Have No Mouth" but after hearing the other work in this collection, I can safely say that I have now discovered some of my favourite stories ever told.

I saw one review of this book say something along the lines of "come for I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, stay for all the other stories".
couldn't agree more.
Nearly every story in this collection is great. I was really expecting more of a horror science fiction collection, but although theres plenty of dread and doom there are very few stories that id call horror at all, and I mean that in the best way. in this collection are some of the best short science fiction stories I've listened to. some horrific, some genuinely really funny, some disturbing, it's all good in here.

After the first couple of hours I thought I'd get really sick of Harlan Ellison's introductions to all the stories, but never did.

the performance is great, Luis Moreno was brilliant. the final chapter, narrated by Harlan Ellison himself, was fantastic.

couldn't recommend more.
