!!!the book is actually written like a “how to” guide for survival which we didn’t know initially on listening to the audio book, but it was so much better once we got into the flow of it!!

We had this on in the car whilst holidaying in Scotland for 10 days. We drove a lot and needed audio books to be fun and connecting but not too “childish” as we parents had to listen too!
This book was perfect.
My kids 7&11 at the time initially hesitated as my older kid thought it would be childish and when the parents “disappeared” my younger one was worried for them. HOWEVER… it got so much better after this and all throughout the book. The details of the adventures in the story was great, and so imaginative! We stopped the audio at parts and chatted at length about the plans and inventions. Even about who might be the “baddies”. We laughed and enjoyed the emotion of each character and each adventure they experienced.
The narrator was ok at changing their voice a bit for the different characters though i wish they had been a little more emotional at the excited parts! The whole story flowed well once we understood the book more… its an actual “how to survive guide”… with extra notes!! If we had had the physical book we’d have seen this and understood the narrative a lot quicker but it was still a fabulous experience and both kids followed the story easily.
😍 Already preordered the next one as demanded by my kids!!!! 😍.
