    Pema Chodron clearly has a great insight into, and experience of meditation. The silences are both very appropriate and helpful in getting a sense of what meditation is all about. She has a deep understanding of what meditation is all about, and is able to convey that with her humour.

    What about Pema Chodron’s performance did you like?

    As she has such a wide awareness and consciousness, she is able to find humour in almost anything. But not a cynical humour, but a rich, loving humour.

    She is a very warm and genuine person, and it is hard not to respond in kind.

    This audio book is a clear and accessible heartfelt explanation, to help people relax into the difficult task of meditation, Pema’s voice is so relaxing and she speaks with such clarity, it really helps you to stick with it.

    A wonderful opportunity to be “in a class” with Pema. Over and over again. I keep coming back to this. She gives useful instructions to practice and time to do so. Her voice is soothing and wise, and her senses of humour so grounding and real. It’s helped me more than any other book so far.

    This is not a book or a novel. This is a guide to meditation and the recording quality is so poor that it is impossible to actually use it as the guide it was intended to be. There are extended silences during which one is supposed to follow the instructions however the recording is one made with an automatic level control and the background noise level rises slowly to a roar during what is supposed to be silence. To make matters worse the data reduction software can't really make a decent job of noise so it sound even worse. Shoddy work. Awful and unusable
