About this listen
A twist of fate....
When Aestrid Karisson escapes for an afternoon of adventure, she never suspects to alter her destiny forever. Captured by Veleif Kollsvein and his fearsome warriors, Aestrid is mistaken as a slave. It isn't until they reach Veleif's stronghold that her true identity is discovered.
A battle of wills....
Determined to torment him until he returns her to her home, this vixen wages a personal war with the dark and dangerous Viking prince. When Veleif's high council decides the two must marry, he embarks on a campaign of his own.
Seduction.
Can the wicked heat in Veleif's game of temptation melt Aestrid's combative heart? Or will the Viking prince find himself tamed by his rebellious bride?
His Viking Bride is a love story filled with folly and challenge, wit and passion...with two iron-willed characters who share more than their explosive traits, the ecstasy of all-consuming love.

While the beginning is a bit slow, it’s more than worth the wait and does a great deal to establish the characters. The narration is fantastic and both main characters are dynamic, human and believable.
The heroine is loved for her spirit and defiance which is not often the case within the genre. She had agency and a mind of her own which is respected and admired. Her dialogue is witty, genuine and narrated expertly.
The hero is not a one-dimensional male brute, but rather has layers of temper, compassion, honour and strength. Narrated perfectly.
The love scenes are some of the best - they manage to not be too graphic while also being intoxicating. They are limited, more so than most, but the length and build up make them that much more satisfying and plausible. There is a ferocity and reverence to them and unlike many historical romance novels, they are not boring, predictable or cringeworthy. Pure passion!
There’s a great cast of supporting characters which enhance the story rather than detract. Plenty of humour and vivid descriptions that make every chapter unique and engaging.
An absolute must-listen for anyone who loves genuine romance and an enthralling plotline. The love between the two characters is never overplayed and the arc of their story is captivating. A phenomenal tale from start to finish! Be sure to listen to the epilogue!
Truly Fantastic
