About this listen
The only way
A home provides more than comfort and shelter. It stores memories...and hides secrets. Divorcee Caitlin Stoller and her children recently moved into a charming old Tudor-style house in the coastal town of Echo, Washington. The place was a bargain, but as weeks pass, Caitlin starts receiving messages - first friendly, then unsettling, hinting at the property's dark past.
You'll stay alive
Caitlin's teenage daughter, Lindsay, isn't fitting in at school. To make matters worse, there are stories about local high school students who've disappeared without a trace - all star athletes, like Lindsay. Then there are the rumors that their new home is cursed. Caitlin doesn't want to believe the whispers, but something strange is going on. Personal items go missing, and there are too many accidents....
Is if he never finds you
The Watcher knows how to get inside the Stollers' home - and inside their heads. The rumors are true, but the full horror is even worse. There's no escaping the nightmare that started here long ago, and no place to hide from a killer who knows exactly how this story will end....

A thrilling read.
I enjoyed this book a great deal. The theme was fresh and bold but at the same time terrifyingly possible. Fanatics, scary people and the awful things that are done to others.
This is like a tale of two halves. The villain being someone capable of great things but unable to get beyond the monster within.
The story touches on some grim occurances as well as the awful elements of abuse inflicted on captive people. What heightens the ugliness is that the crimes are inflicted on teenage youngsters. So reader be aware. Still, a shockingly good read/listen.
The narration is excellent with the orators voice perfect.

Edge of seat listen
A really good, gripping thriller with so many bad characters and twists and turns that we're kept guessing the whole way through. Not something I might have chosen. A bit too grim and gruesome with lots of deaths, sexual abuse and torture and some very twisted minds. But kept me on the edge of my seat for nearly 17 hours of excellent narration and suspense.

Excellent story, very well narrated as always!
I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. The story was very well written, if a little predictable but the characters development was excellent. The narrator is one of my favourite now, he really has an excellent cadence for audiobooks!
