About this listen
A terrifying global conspiracy is unfolding against America.
Dan Roy is an elite Black Ops solider. His life has been a never-ending spectrum of action. Now, his soul needs a break. He moves to London, looking to forgive and forget. But life has other plans for him.
An old face from the past pulls him back into a vicious plot that ranges from London to Afghanistan. Dan agrees to help, but he is betrayed. His only confidant dies mysteriously, and soon Dan and those close to him are chased by a force far greater than himself.
In a race against time to save the world from destruction, Dan Roy finds himself up against a terrifying terrorist attack. There is no one to help. Dan has to fight back, with his back to the wall. But failure is not an option....

As for the setting, a book based in London should be a special treat, but it had me confused at times. I gave it a good shot and got as far as Ch 35, but that was enough and there are better books in my queue.
Not for the English!

Characters who were supposedly East End Gangsters sounded like Dick Van Dyke in the original Mary Poppins film.
All in all I was disappointed and frustrated but stuck with it through to the end. It has put me off reading or listening to other books by this author and definitely put me off this narrator.
Good storyline but frustrating narration and writing style

I stuck it for as long as I could but had to throw in the towel. The English accents were massively worse than Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins.
It's actually incredibly insulting that the bloke couldn't even be bothered to come over to England and talk to people and listen to accents and the way people talk in order to portray any kind of realistic English accent.
Nobody in England speaks the way he portrays and never has. It's lazy and insulting to the English and has ruined the author's chances any future book sales in the UK.
Spoiled
