As a teenager Sawyer and his siblings endured a devastating loss and any dreams he had for the future had to be put on hold as he wasn’t only responsible for his siblings but responsible for the family orchard which was their only source of income. When he was finally able to pursue his dream of being a SEAL he served his country proudly but returned a changed man and the only person who help the demons away was his sister’s best friend Mindy.

Mindy has loved Sawyer since she was a child and she there for him whenever he needed someone the most. She can’t imagine her life without him and just when she thinks she is finally going to get the happy ever after she has always dreamed about it is taken away and she is left picking up the pieces.

This is a heartbreaking and inspiring story about a love that is bent by distance, both physically and emotionally, but in the end proved itself unbreakable. This story will make you laugh and it will make you cry as you become completely invested in not only Sawyer and Mindy but the secondary characters as well. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and thought that the narrators couldn’t have been a more perfect match both for the characters and the emotion and humor of the story.
