Danny Black was injured most of the story and so wasn’t as dynamic as he was in other books.

Good storyline

The story is as good and as gripping as all the others have been. The books have great continuity between them as you feel like you are following Danny Black's career as it progresses.

My criticism now is the narrator sounds like he is in a permanent state of panic and confusion, or at least he makes pretty much all of the characters seem that way. Even the battle hardened, highly trained SF soldiers, according to the narrator, are wracked with panic and uncertainty. I can only assume he thinks this is adding to the tension but this is the last audio I will listen to on this series. Going to have to buy the rest and go back to the old fashioned way and actually read them.

Chris Ryan's books are a really good easy read with plenty of differing plots and goings on to keep the reader involved. No overly complicated language, good detailed descriptions and tense plots.

Story is great, narrator is painful.

This is Danny Black at his best. A spine tingling thriller that kept me wanting more all the way through ! The narrator seemed to pace himself well and kept the excitement going. I mighr just have to listen again!
