Mit der Ankunft des Junggesellen Peter Hynd im Nachbarort ist es dort mit Ruhe und dörflicher Beschaulichkeit vorbei. Er lässt sich ja auch nicht so leicht um den Finger wickeln. Aber dann ist plötzlich von Morddrohungen und Missbrauch die Rede. Und es dauert nicht lange, bis auch noch eine Leiche auftaucht. So steht Hamish mal wieder vor der Herausforderung, einen Mörder dingfest zu machen!
