About this listen

Only minutes after Abbie Elliot and her three best friends step off of a private helicopter, they enter the most luxurious, sumptuous, sensually pampering hotel they have ever been to. Their lavish presidential suite overlooks Monte Carlo, and they surrender: to the sun and pool, to the sashimi and sake, to the Bruno Paillard champagne. For four days they're free to live someone else's life. As the weekend moves into pulsating discos, high-stakes casinos, and beyond, Abbie is transported to the greatest pleasure and release she has ever known. In the morning's harsh light, Abbie awakens on a yacht, surrounded by police.

Something awful has happened - something impossible, unthinkable. Abbie, Winnie, Serena, and Bryah are arrested and accused of the foulest crime imaginable. And now the vacation of a lifetime becomes the fight of a lifetime - for survival.

Guilty Wives is the ultimate indulgence, the kind of non-stop joy-ride of excess, friendship, betrayal, and danger that only James Patterson can create.

"A genius mash-up (in today’s parlance) of chick-lit and The Hangover: a Monte Carlo trip goes very wrong." ( Mail on Sunday’s Live magazine hot release)
"This brilliant story of loyalty, betrayal and excess is utterly thrilling – a sun-lounger must!" (5 stars, Closer)

Well read, great story. It kept me wanting more and although at times I felt like I knew what was coming, it didn't happen exactly as I expected.
I would definitely recommend it!

It was an intense thriller

It took a while to get into this audio book. I quite liked the story in the end and found myself rooting for Abby but if not for a determination to complete a book I would have left this book for a while. The narrator is good, she's easy to listen too and her accents are very believable. Not my favourite James Patterson book but worth a listen.

slow burner

I enjoyed listening to this story. Wasn't hard to concentrate on, so I could do something else at the same time which is good. Not sure if it could happen in jail like that but it was interesting to hear what could go on. Would recommend it.
