This book had so much potential, but it is failed miserably by its terrible narration and longwindedness. The material itself is fascinating, but I found that I really struggled to get into it. I kept drifting off and missing huge great chunks. And the narrator was so dull, I eventually stopped rewinding to listen to the missed bits.

Also, while the recap of the war and the information about the antics of the SS and the Gestapo were both interesting, the book was not billed as a look at WW2, so I was slightly peeved that it seemed to be padded out with stories of the war.

This book could have been saved with better narration, to make it much more lively and engaging. I most certainly won't buy another book this chap reads. Awful!

Tell the “Big Lie” often enough and they will believe it.” Had that what happened regarding the fate of Hitler at the end of WW2?
We will never know for certain but this book puts the case in an interesting and entertaining way. Well worth a listen.

I would highly recommend this book. A lot of evidence to his escape can be fully explained. A good read and fully enjoyed this book.

A good brief history of ww2 with some good information but little in the way to convince the listener to Adolf Hitlers escape.

The book is well put together and the writer's have clearly researched their topic. The central theme remains probable and the insight from Hitler's later years is very interesting. The book does take some time to set the scene but overall it's an interesting and thought provoking story. On reflection, it took the American's years and years to hunt down Bin Laden and Sadam disappeared for some time before being caught. In an age before the digital era, world media, twitter and the internet it remains highly plausible that tin an age of typewriters and memos all was not what it seemed at the end of WW2.

Having heard rumours over the years that Hitler didn't die in the Berlin bunker, I read this book with interest. I've also watched the documentary. Both book and documentary provide a plausible account of what may have really occurred. The narrative in both is measured and balanced, and indicates when speculation is used to fill in the likely scenario, (in the eyes of the authors), when source material is unavailable. (You'll want to do your own cross checking). I shall definitely listen again, and follow up with further reading into this subject. The ramifications of Hitler possibly having survived the Nazi defeat in Berlin to escape to South America are huge for our understanding of the war, who was behind it, and for what purposes.

An excellent series of detailed accounts and primary witness statements. This book is highly recommended to those with an open mind of the movements of Hitler after he fled from the Berlin bunker in 1945.

A lot of detail in the reports and sightings in South America, well researched and sourced. Of course with this subject there is a a lot of deductions and assumptions made but all seems somewhat plausible and reasonable when backed up with the countless reports made across South America throughout the decades.
