Unverhofft landet Gänserich Hugo auf dem Blümchenhof. Er ist von einem Transporter entkommen, der ihn mit Sicherheit an Koch und Kochtopf ausliefern wollte. Natürlich erhält er auf dem Blümchenhof Asyl und die Hühnerdamen sind hin und weg. Die Begeisterung der anderen Tiere flaut jedoch schon bald ab: Hugo weiß alles besser und ein bisschen eingebildet ist er auch. Außerdem spielt er sich als Bewacher des Blümchenhofes auf. Darüber ist Bruno entsetzt, denn er hat Angst, nicht mehr gebraucht zu werden. Also beschließt die Haferhorde: Der Gänserich muss weg!
