About this listen
On orders from Mithril, Sousuke has been forced to abandon Kaname to focus on learning the secrets of the Arbalest and the lambda driver.
Meanwhile, Kaname—left to the care of a remote and anonymous intelligence agent—feels the threat from a mysterious pursuer drawing ever closer. Their challenges will lead them both to the tension-racked streets of Hong Kong, a city even more divided than the burgeoning couple's destinies. A series of climactic showdowns will bring them to a reckoning with enemies old and new!
©2024 Shouji Gatou (P)2024 Podium AudioI like the male and female voice over for the male characters and the female characters and it brings more life to the audiobook.
Not only did this audiobook impress me with including more detail and description of new Urzu 1 commander Belfangan Clouseau, I liked how they broke down Sousuke Sagara's feelings to the fact he isn't able to operate the machine without the help of a certain someone in his life. He goes into a depressive state.
But not only that the introduction of Tessa's older brother was badass as well. I love the idea of human sized automated arms slaves.
I wished for Chris Patton had emphasize Sousukes anger more. Luci Christian did a good job portraying Kaname Chidori.
Now this isn't anything towards the audiobook, but I preferred the changes the anime adaptation did for this volume. The assassins were female rather than male, the main disposable villain was more nutso buttso in the anime rather than in this volume.
This audiobook volume is more descriptive and has more character building than the anime adaptation.
