WINNER OF THE HUGO AWARD FOR BEST ALL-TIME SERIES

The Foundation series is Isaac Asimov’s iconic masterpiece. Unfolding against the backdrop of a crumbling Galactic Empire, the story of Hari Seldon’s two Foundations is a lasting testament to an extraordinary imagination, one that shaped science fiction as we know it today.

Faced with determining the fate of the galaxy, Golan Trevize
hesitantly chose to hand over the rule of the galaxy to planet Gaia. Two mysteries now remain: who has erased the records of Earth – and why?

Determined to ensure his choice was right, Golan sets off with
Janov Pelorat and Bliss, to answer these questions once and for all. But nothing could prepare them for the secrets which await them on Earth. Secrets which predate history as they know it, and will change its significance forever…

I have read and reread this book over decades and am still captivated by the story, the interpersonal relationships as well as astonished by the imagination that perceived the whole Foundation as well as Robot series, as well as the practical and philosophical obstacles that would be encountered, together showing a resolute and pragmatic future.
The narrator did an excellent job of creating distinctive characters as well as portraying the various emotional elements. Very enjoyable to listen to.
Asimov is a master in science fictional where he envisage a realistic future galaxy, with all its natural and practical problems, including the human problems faced in anytime frame
Although this book can be read/listened to as a stand alone, I would encourage anyone to start either the first Foundation book, or better still, the Robots books.
A truly amazing glimpse of a potential future.

Excellent

A good adventure and ending

Although sometimes laboured by IA’s often superfluous detailed dialogue, it’s a fitting end to one of the great science fiction stories, brilliantly read by Hope.

A galloping ride to the conclusion of the Asimovs great saga

Fantastic story and performance.

I read all seven books thirty years ago for the first time. I have reread them a number of times, but this is the first time I have listened to the Foundation Series as audiobooks. Asimov’s work remains as perfect today as it was when he first wrote it. A joy to behold.

The perfect culmination of Asimov’s genius.
