About this listen
Salisbury, 1227
A boundary dispute between two farmers leads to digging that uncovers an ancient settlement...with a recent corpse buried in it. Ela Longespée must find the killer and restore peace between warring neighbors, all while negotiating her hard-won new role as High sheriff of Wiltshire.
©2020 J. G. Lewis (P)2021 J. G. LewisThe story, as a mystery, was fairly predicable, but the historical touches were good. Always interesting to hear what women’s’ lives were like in Medieval Britain. Ela of Salisbury was certainly a formidable woman.
I hope there will be more audiobooks in this series. I’ve enjoyed them.
