About this listen

A cozy mystery paranormal romance
Welcome to Everlasting, Maine, where there's no such thing as normal.
Anna Crawford is well aware her town is filled with supernaturals, but she isn't exactly willing to embrace her paranormal gifts. Her aunt says she's a witch-in-denial. All Anna wants is to live a quiet "normal" life and run her business, Witch's Brew Coffee Shop and Bakery. But everything is about to be turned upside down the moment Jackson Argent walks into her life.
Jackson isn't sure why he agreed to come back to his boyhood home of Everlasting. It's like a spell was cast and he couldn't say no. Covering the Cranberry Festival isn't exactly the hard-hitting news this reporter is used to. But when a local death is ruled an accident, and the police aren't interested in investigating, he takes it upon himself to get to the bottom of the mystery. To do that, he'll need to enlist the help of the beautiful coffee shop owner.
It soon becomes apparent things are not what they seem and more than coffee is brewing in Everlasting.

Another mixed offering
The paranormal mystery aspect continues to be fun, but they should really rein in the romance side of these books. Not as bas as book two in that respect but...

Fabulous Cozy Paranormal Tale
All Anna wants is a 'normal' life despite living in a town filled with supernaturals. However, when Jackson Argent seeks her help, it is more than just the coffee that is brewing.
Part of the Everlasting series, that have been written by a number of talented authors that have set their storied in the supernatural town of Everlasting.
Filled with fun and enjoyable characters. I loved the tale.

Hmmmm
Let me start by saying that i want to give it more stars there should be an option for if this book is so so so good that you can give more stars. I loved the balance of the mystery and the romance and loved the paranormal aspect of this one so much. I definitely have been convinced to listen to the rest of the books now.

An Enjoyable Cozy Mystery
A short, enjoyable read by Ms Pillow. Entertaining with likeable characters. Aunt Polly made me laugh and Anna and Jackson were made for each other. BJ Harrison’s voice was nice and easy to listen to and actually quite soothing. A fun read.

Four in One Listen - Magic, Romance, Mystery, Fun
Read Curses and Cupcakes first and then discovered this gem and as discovered do not have to read in order as stand alone and only cross over is background on some of the characters, but did not detract from discovering how Anna and Jackson came together.
Hand me hooked and listening as much as I could with a mixture of everything magic, love, romance, mystery and lots of laughs with Aunt Polly. Great characters and really enjoyable listen/read.
Great narrator that added to enhance and bring story to life.

Brewing up magic
I enjoyed this book. The only reason it dropped a star is because there was a little bit to much focus on the romance side of the story for me, although they did make for a cute couple. I liked the characters but Aunt Polly certainly stole the show, what a hoot! Embarrassing if she was my aunt but her quirky personality makes for a great and entertaining character in the story. The mastery was unusual with the use of a camera providing clues, just as it should be for a paranormal cozy mystery, it also left you wondering what was going on. I am glad Anna finally embraced her witchy side so she could solve the mystery because up until then I had no clue. This is apparently the third book in the series but it didn't feel like it and could have easily been the start of a new series. I might have to check out the other books. A fun series to enjoy if you like weird and whacky characters with a splash of romance and a hint of mystery.
Jackson has to return to his home town to cover the Cranberry Festival, not exactly the hard hitting news story he is use too but a local death and an interesting coffee shop owner has him sticking around. Everlasting has secrets and the latest one of whether the local delivery boy was murdered has Jackson and a witch in denial working together with a special camera to find the answers. Was the play boy killer or like the police claim it was an accidental death?
I liked the narrator. At first I thought it was unusual to have a male reader for a mostly female cast but he soon won me over and he turned out perfect, especially in the roll as Aunt Polly
